Urban Hub Comes to Life

The Urban Hub of Capestone has already delivered the new Kidz Magic Early Childhood centre, Mango Hill East train station, lakeside playground and unique lakeside amenities around the perimeter of an upcoming 12.8-hectare lake. The new shopping village is planned to be health and wellness focussed, complete with everyday necessities from medical to restaurants.

Company spokesperson Sam Vecchio from Vecchio Property Group said the shopping village plans to be trading before the end of next year.

“There will be speciality shops around the supermarket” Mr Vecchio said

“It will be called Capestone Village and have a neighbourhood feel.”

Capestone Village will be accessible through the 2.5-kilometre bike trail, which surrounds the soon to be completed lake, and will overlook the new water view.

According to founder of Matusik Property Insights, Michael Matusik, amenities such as Capestone’s Urban Hub will promote price growth and the desirability to live in the community.

“There are a range of aspects our studies have shown that promote price growth, including harder elements such as infrastructure, transport nodes and jobs nearby,” Matusik said. “However, the softer elements are just as important; these being easy to get around routes, walking tracks, water views and areas that encourage social communities.”

The shopping village also comes from an increasing need for additional amenities to support the growing population in the community.

Matusik comments that the population in the Moreton Regional Shire grows by approximately 11,000 new residents each year.

“The tightness of land supply creates significant demand and price growth, keeping a floor under the market which has seen prices rise significantly in recent years.”

The rate per square metre in the area has doubled in the past decade due to the expansion of surrounding amenities and job growth.
