Capestone Schooling: Everything you Need to Know

Here is a selection of some of the most conveniently located schools, right on our doorstep.

Mango Hill State School 

Established in January 2012 to serve the thriving Mango Hill community, this master planned school has an engaging learning community that includes state of the art technology and facilities, quality staff and outstanding resources. Catering for children from Prep to Year 6, all students are provided with a strong foundational education that equips them with the knowledge, skills and attributes needed to be successful in the future.

St Benedict’s Catholic Primary School 

Catering for students from Prep to Year 6, St Benedict’s College was established in 2013, and shares their grounds with St Benedict’s Kindergarten. St Benedict’s has a culturally diverse community, welcoming families from a number of different backgrounds and nationalities. This Primary school provides modern interconnected learning spaces to maximise opportunities for integration, project-based work and an inquiry model of learning. These spaces allow flexibility and incorporate opportunities for indoor/outdoor learning.

North Lakes State College 

The college opened its doors in 2002 and is now a Prep to Year 12 school, providing an uninterrupted educational journey and a seamless progression for students. The master planned education concept was developed in conjunction with North Lakes community, Pine Rivers Shire Council, and Education Queensland to service the growing community of North Lakes and Mango Hill. The campus shares sporting facilities with the public and is located close to the shopping precinct and transportation. The college has established a structured curriculum, complemented by a wide array of extracurricular activities and a supportive pastoral care program, which encourages students to explore their talents and interests.

The Lakes College

This co-educational College campus caters for Prep to Year 12. Committed to supporting each child to find success as a learner and to partner with families to grow young people who are ‘future ready.’  As the community continues to grow, the college has undertaken an expansion of their Secondary facilities including flexible, technology enabled learning spaces, Food Technology and Visual Arts Centre, a cutting-edge Industrial Technology Centre, a brand new Aquatic Precinct with Stage 2 commencing in December 2023. These new facilities will assist in the schools balanced approach to educate students through quality curricular and extra-curricular programs that provide opportunities for individuals to explore their potential.

Mango Hill State Secondary College 

Progressively expanding over the next five years, Mango Hill State Secondary College will  eventually accommodate up to 1800 students across Years 7 to 12. Their state-of-the-art facilities will create immersive learning spaces across all disciplines, housing areas for Arts, STEM, Applied Technology, Business and ICT, and Health & Physical Education, all integrated into a 5-year Master Plan. The co-curricular and extra-curricular programs in the Arts and Sport will complement learning in the classroom and provide students with avenues to pursue their talents and contribute to the cultural community of the College.

St Benedicts College, Mango Hill 

A co-educational secondary school under the Brisbane Catholic Education, offers a unique advantage in its smaller size, creating personalised connections among students and staff. It caters to individual needs, including learning support and gifted extension. It fosters flexible and innovative experiences, encouraging curiosity and adaptability. A strong secondary education leads to various senior study paths, with university (OP) and vocational options. There are also a range of core and elective studies, including excellence programs, that empowers students for a successful future.
