Ho Ho Ho – Can you spot Christmas light displays near Capestone?

Looking for a way to immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit this year? Look no further than the age-old tradition of looking at the beautifully created festive light displays near the Capestone area. Whether you’re unfamiliar with Christmas light hotspots, maintaining year long family traditions or looking to start new ones – you don’t have the venture too far from home to experience the incredible light displays some Christmas devotees have arranged. 

Brisbane Kids have created a fantastic guide for local Christmas light displays in the Moreton Bay area. So what are you waiting for?! Whip up some delicious Christmas-themed snacks, hop in the car, and explore the dazzling light displays near Capestone this year!

16 Freshwater Creek Road, Mango Hill –  This property has thousands of Christmas lights set up in a beautiful display and the owners are fundraising for the Redcliffe Area Youth Space this festive season. Gates open on Saturdays and Sundays for an immersive walk-through experience. The lights will be illuminated from the 28th November 2024 to 10th January 2025, from 7pm – 10pm.

26 Limosa Court, Mango Hill – This large display has grown over the decades that the owners have been participating in the tradition of Christmas lights. The lights will be on from 6.30pm – 11.30pm until 1st January 2025.

8 Price Street, North Lakes – Drive past an amazing display with no shortage of lights, music, snowmen and cheeky Santa trying to climb the fence. The lights will be on from the 1st December 2024 to 10th January 2025, from 6pm – 9pm (until 10pm Fri and Sat).

3 Sandpiper Avenue, North Lakes – This display features lots of lights, inflatables, a bubble/snow machine and more. The lights will be illuminating the streets from the 30th November to 26th December 2024, from 7pm – 9.30pm (until 10pm Fri – Sun).

6 Whitlock Drive, Rothwell – This property has set up a small winter wonderland right in the heart of North Brisbane. If you get lucky you may even see Santa and his elf helpers. It is requested that Christmas light viewers do not walk over the lawn and remain on the roadside. These lights will be on until  26th December 2024, from 5pm – 9.30pm (these hours may extend in the lead up to Christmas).
