Redcliffe Markets Festival of Frights

When: Saturday 28th October 4pm – 9pm 

Where: Redcliffe Parade, Redcliffe, QLD 4020

Get ready for spine-chilling fun at the Redcliffe Markets Festival of Frights on Saturday, 28th October from 4pm to 9pm.With a scavenger hunt, pirate performers, street eats, live music, and a grand fireworks display at 8:30pm, it’s a Halloween bash you won’t want to miss! Best part? Free entry, and $5 parking funds go to support the Clontarf Beach Scout Group. 

Costumes 

• There are plenty of spooky and affordable costumes at local shops, but make sure to get in early to beat the last minute rush.
• There are plenty of masks you can purchase or make at home to turn any regular clothes into the perfect halloween costume.
• Some popular costumes are wizards, ghosts and an all time favourite – Spiderman suit! 
• Kmart has plenty of affordable costume choices, from adorable pumpkin suits for kids aged 6-18 months and 2-3 years, or a spooky Zombie costume for kids aged 6-8 and 8+. 

Trick or Treat Tips 

• Trick or treating generally occurs on Halloween (Tuesday 31st October) between 5.30pm and wrapping up by 8pm. 
• It is important to remember that not everyone participates in Halloween celebrations so be respectful of houses which don’t have decorations up or have signs asking for no trick or treaters. Aussies also don’t participate in the trick option, so be sure kids understand this before heading out for the evening. 
• Remember to be cautious on roads, don’t let your children go alone and only consume treats which are sealed. 
• An awesome idea is to opt for an organised street party where houses can choose to participate in a safe environment with neighbours you know!
